Hyderabad: The Economic Offences Wing of the Cyberabad police commissionerate which is probing the sensational scam by the Future Maker Life Care (FMLC) company that allegedly swindled about Rs 3,000 crore from the public, has found that the company was selling substandard products by increasing their price between three and 38 times in order to make huge profits.

It was also to show that the company’s products were in huge demand and thereby lure more victims to join their schemes and purchase the products.

The in-depth probe by the EOW into the alleged fraud committed by the Haryana-based FMLC company revealed that the company Chairman, Managing Director and prime accused Radheshyam was clueless about the unscrupulous products being sold.

Cyberabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said that all the products marketed by the FMLC were found to be overpriced three-38 times compared to the original market price, deliberately to give the impression that theirs was a big brand with a lot of demand.

“This modus operandi is used by fraudsters who promote money circulation schemes and pyramid companies to lure the public,” he said.

The products promoted by the company were found to be substandard, with improper packing and lacked declarations and manufacturing details. Most products were also found to be of inferior quality.

“It is suspected that all the healthcare products were sold without proper certification. The manufacturing process of their products are believed to be unscrupulous in nature. It shows that under the guise of promoting their products, the company resorted to utilising these scientifically unverified products to promote money circulation,” said the commissioner.

The company promoted the products by claiming that they gave good results but none of those claims were scientifically verified.

Commissioner Sajjanar said “The packaging of most products like improved sexual vigour, weight reduction, improving hair and skin texture, Jahar Mukt Kheti (Poison-free farming), Rog Mukt Jivan (Disease-free life) powders do not have any scientific verification. Surprisingly, the prime accused Radheshyam, a Class VII dropout, does not have an iota of knowledge about any of the products he is promoting and no clue about the source and utility of any of the products. All their products were sourced from different places across the country.”
