Hyderabad: Two Migrant Workers Killed in Construction Site Mishap

Hyderabad: Two migrant workers were killed in a mishap at a construction site at Mamidipally village under Pahadishareef PS of Rachakonda commissionerate on the city outskirts on Sunday noon. Four other workers were injured in the incident. Jagadish B, 40 from Odisha and Tilak Singh, 33, from Uttar Pradesh died on the spot and the others sustained injuries in the incident, said the police.

According to police, a person identified as Sanjeev Mudiraj who resides in Mahabubnagar owns the plot and he had hired a contractor for the construction work. On Sunday when the slab of the second floor was being laid, the structure collapsed, resulting in the death of two persons.

SHO Pahadishareef K Satish said that prima facie a case under section 304A of the IPC (death due to negligence) is registered and the probe is underway to find out the exact reasons behind the mishap. It was found that there were no safety measures for the workers at the site.
