Hyderabad: Gaming parlour raided, 16 arrested
The duo were allowing their friends and punters to bet, without holding a valid license from the authorities concerned, police said.
Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, East Zone, conducted raids on a gaming house near AOC gate of Marredpally and arrested 16 persons, including the organiser and sub-organiser, who were running the place without a licence and seized Rs 5.37 lakh, 34 cellphones, three laptops and one television among other things.
The organiser, Madav Murthy, and his partner, D. Ajid Kumar, were running the gaming centre at a penthouse above a bakery at AOC gate Y-junction in Marredpally, said Additional DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, S. Chaitanya Kumar. “The duo were allowing their friends and punters to bet, without holding a valid license from the authorities concerned, and were earning easy money illegally. The arrested were handed over to Marredpally Police.
