Denied leave, constable shoots self to death in Chennai

Chennai: A police constable allegedly shot himself here this morning after he was denied permission for leave.

The constable named R Gobinath was found dead inside the premises of Armed Reserve Battalion here.

The 25-year old native of Vadipatti village of Madurai was found dead with a bullet injury.

Police sources said Gobinath was feeling unwell and had been requesting for leave.
