Job scam exposed, Bhadrachalam police nabs two

The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has found that over 148 brokers are involved in the massive NSEL scam. Sources said that the SFIO has got nod from the ministry to prosecute them.

Bhadrachalam: A scam was exposed by Bhadrachalam police on Monday.

According to the police, the five, Soyam Prasad, Chela Nagendra Prasad, teacher, Nageswara Rao, Soyam Krishna and Gundu Sarveswara Rao collected Rs 56 lakh from the people of Khammam, Charla, Godavarikhani, Manuguru and Bhadrachalam by promising them to give them jobs in the Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL).

With the money, the five bought two vehicles— a Verna and Bolero and enjoyed life.

A victim of their scheme, Attam Ramesh, lodged a complaint against them with the police.

The cops took Soyam Prasad and Chela Nagendra Prasad into custody and recovered two vehicals from them.  

The cops are on the lookout for the others who fled.
