Charminar RJ commits suicide, police trying to question Army Major
The colleagues of Sandhya Singh are in shock as she went missing suddenly and they came to know about her death only after a week.
Hyderabad: Bollaram police officials probing the death of Radio Charminar Radio Jockey are still struggling to get her husband, Army Major Vishal Vaibhav, to question him as senior Army officers have not yet given permission. Army officials denied permission to the police to take him into custody stating that Vishal is undergoing treatment at the Army hospital.
Meanwhile, the colleagues of Sandhya Singh are in shock as she went missing suddenly and they came to know about her death only after a week.
Senior police officials said that Army officials have asked them to wait. “The Army officials have given us in writing that Major Vishal Vaibhav is undergoing treatment in the IC unit. They stated that once his treatment is over he will be handed over to us,” said north zone DCP B. Sumathi. However, Army officials did not state the Major’s medical problem.
Initially when police approached the Army, they did not get a response. Later, the investigation official submitted a case report and a formal letter. After that, the cops got a response.
Sandhya Singh, 28, a native of Ghaziabad, had been living with her husband in Bolarum. She was found dead at her residence last week. The incident came to light when her relatives from UP approached the police alleging murder. Police booked a case against her husband Major Vishal Vaibhav for dowry death. But before the police could reach his home, the Major got admitted in hospital.
