Chennai: Hospital employee booked under POCSO Act

Chennai: A day after the shocking incident of a rape attempt in an MRTS train in Chennai, the Sembium all women police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly molesting a Class 9 girl, on Wednesday.

According to the police, B Sheik Habib (23) had entered his neighbour's house during the early hours on Tuesday and allegedly tried to molest a 15-year-old girl, who was sleeping. Habib is said to be working as a supervisor at a private hospital. The girl shouted for help and her parents rescued her. Based on the complaint by the girl's mother, the police have arrested Sheik Habid under POCSO Act and remanded him in judicial custody.
