Hyderabad: Plot to kill TRS leader Anand Kumar Goud foiled
It was found that Madhu's PA Shaik Ali was involved in the plot to kill Anand and he hired four men for that.
Hyderabad: The police has foiled a murder attempt on Goshamahal TRS leader Anand Kumar Goud. Three persons including an engineering student were arrested. Police said the three had been given a contract to kill Anand as he was working against former Congress corporator from Jambagh, Madhu Goud, a brother of former minister Mukesh Goud.
It was found that Madhu’s PA Shaik Ali was involved in the plot to kill Anand and he hired four men for that. Shaik Ali and accused Annuba are absconding. The three arrested are Syed Mohammed, an engineering student, Hadi Bin Omer Al Hadi, an electrician and Md Irfan Khan. a real estate agent.
Police said main accused Shaik Ali bhai, 26, worked as PA to former corporator Madhu Goud. Anand Goud was getting involved in some disputes connected to Madhu, and this led to the murder plan. Ali hired Syed Mohammad to execute the plan and fixed the deal at Rs 2 lakh.
He was also given Rs 5,000 as advance along with pictures and address of Anand Goud. Syed Mohammad contacted friends Hadi, Irfan and Annuba and they agreed. Police nabbed Syed Mohammad, Hadi and Irfan and produced them in court.
"The gang procured three daggers, located the house of Anand Goud and waited for an opportunity to attack him, but failed. Later they came to know the TRS leader travelled to Tirupati. They decided to trap him at MGBS when he returned," Afzalgunj inspector C Anjaiah said.
The full details of the plot would be known after Shaik Ali Bhai is caught.
Based on a tip off, Police nabbed the three -- Syed Mohammad, Hadi and Irfan -- while they were moving around in suspicious ways, and seized three daggers and three mobile phones from their possession. They were produced before a court.
