Don't waste time, just Google my name,' nabbed killer tells Bihar cops
The 35-year-old 'serial killer' reportedly inspired the climax scene of Bollywood movie Gangs of Wasseypur.
Patna: The Bihar police was in for a shock after they arrested a man on Sunday for stealing cash from a bank in Vaishali district – he turned out to be a serial killer who has allegedly killed over 20 people across Bihar.
According to reports, 35-year-old Avinash Srivastava, told cops, "Don't waste your and my time interrogating me. Just Google 'psycho killer Amit' and you will get all the answers."
The police had arrested him while he was trying to break into the Central Bank of India in Vaishali but they had no clue he was a notorious serial killer.
Srivastava is a well educated man who had a job in one of the top IT companies in the country but his life seemed to have taken a drastic turn when his father, a former RJD MLC, was murdered in 2002.
The Vaishali police said that he had killed the murderer of his father and had pumped his body with 32 bullets. He kept shooting him even after he died and this murder had reportedly inspired the climax scene of Gangs of Wasseypur.
Avinash told police that he has already murdered at least four of those involved in his father’s killing and still has a few names left in his ‘hit list’.
He took to a life of crime and joined a group of gangsters in Patna after his father’s demise. He was even arrested in 2013 for robbery but walked out of jail soon.
Srivastav confessed to the police that he had killed at least 20 people. His statement has reportedly helped the Bihar police solve many murder cases.
