Woman alleges blackmail and sexual harassment

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru rural district police have taken up a case of sexual harassment and blackmail filed by a 33-year-old woman residing in Beediganahalli in Devanahalli Taluk.
The woman alleged she was photographed nude by the accused and the latter had extorted Rs 5 lakh in cash and gold jewellery.
Police said that the complainant approached them on Tuesday. In her complaint, she stated the accused, identified as Ramachandra G, also a resident of Beediganahalli, used to call her over phone and send obscene messages.
Ramachandra used to come to her house when she was alone and had even clicked nude pictures of her.
He then started blackmailing her by threatening to reveal her nude photos to her husband and relatives, she stated in her complaint. She later narrated her ordeal to her husband.
Chennarayapatana police have registered a case and begun investigation. Preliminary inquiries reveal that the accused washaving an affair with the complainant and her husband doubted her fidelity.
