Man kills father over argument in AP

KAKINADA: A man in Andhra Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly killing his father after an argument. The incident took place in the Chinturu mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district on Friday night.

The accused, Podiyam Arjun, is a resident of Lankapalli village. He had no job and was reportedly roaming around without any work. His parents had been reprimanding him to find a job and earn money.

On Friday night, an argument broke out between Arjun and his father, Podiyam Lakshmayya alias Lakhma, 40. Arjun allegedly hit his father with a stick, killing him on the spot.

The Chinturu police have registered a case and arrested Arjun.
