Bengaluru: A 50-year-old realtor was found hanging inside the office of a financier and his business partner at Katriguppe in Banashankari on Monday night. His family cried foul play and demanded a thorough investigation.

The deceased, Srinivas, a resident of Nelagadaranahalli, was into money lending business.

Srinivas often visited Raghavendra's office on Water Tank Road as they were business partners. On Monday evening too, he had gone to meet Raghavendra and went to the toilet, where he allegedly hanged himself, the Girinagar police said. Two office boys raised an alarm and broke open the doors to find him hanging. The police said that there was a financial dispute between the two, and Srinivas had recently given a couple of cheques to Raghavendra.

"We are waiting for the postmortem report. We are yet to record Raghavendra's statement as he is out of the city. Raghavendra, who runs a real estate development company, was not at the office when the incident took place. Since no suicide note was found at the spot, Manikanta, the eldest son of Srinivas, filed a case against Raghavendra suspecting a foul play," the police said.
