Three die in accident in Kanjirapally

Kottayam: Three people died in an accident near Chotty junction in Kanjirapally on Friday around 11.30 am.    

The mishap happened when a lorry heading to Tamil Nadu deviated into the wrong way, lost control and rammed into a bike and then a car.

The bikeriders Wembillil natives Edamannil Shaji, 48, and Mannasseril Arun Kumar, 26, died on the spot while Sreedharan Pillai, 62,  of Peruvanthanam Niriyanikal who was travelling in the car died after he was rushed to the hospital.

Mr Pillai's daughter Radhika, 33, and his son-in-law Sunish were admitted to Mundakayam Medical Trust Hospital. The police has registered a case and seized the lorry.
