Andhra Pradesh: ONGC pipeline develops gas leak

The ONGC rescue team arrested the leak.

People reiterated their grievance that ONGC activities have polluted the soil and water in the village and also affected the health of people.

Rajahmundry: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation pipeline developed minor gas leak causing panic among the local villagers at Kesavadaspalem village of Sakhinetipalli mandal in East Godavari in the early hours on Saturday. According to ONGC sources, pipeline flowing from Well No. 49/4 connected to Mori Gas Collection Station developed pinhole leak and gas started to gush out from it. As the area where gas leaked located a few metres away from the habitations and the pipeline was going through abandoned fields, there was not much damage. The ONGC rescue team arrested the leak.
