Techie Dead, 4 Hurt as Car Plunges into Canal

Hyderabad: A holiday drive from Hyderabad to Ananthagiri Hills by five software engineers turned out to be a fatal; one of them after the car in which they were travelling plunged into a canal at Siva Reddypet of Vikarabad district on Monday. Police said that the diver lost visibility due to thick smoke.

The deceased was identified as Gunasekhar. The other four persons included a woman NRI software engineer Poojita, Raghu, Mohan and Sagar. Swimmers fished out the body of Gunasekhar by evening and shifted it to the government hospital for postmortem.

As the vehicle reached Siva Reddypet, the driver lost his control due to the thick smoke and plunged the vehicle into the canal.
