Bengaluru: In a swift action a day after the murder of a 27-year-old man at a workshop in Kadugondahalli, the police arrested four people. The accused have been identified as Syed Muneer (32), Syed Shadab (31), Syed Hidayat alias Chotu Double (32), all three residents of K.G. Halli, and Shoib Khan (33), a resident of Shivaji Nagar.

The incident happened around 7 pm on Saturday, when the victim Saleemullah Shareef (27), a resident of Venkateshpur in B.M. Layout, was working at a workshop in Kadugondahalli.

The accused knew that Saleemullah was at the workshop. They went there and attacked him with rods and other deadly weapons and he died on the spot.

Upon getting an alert, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem. As many people were witness to the murder and knew the killers, the police identified the accused.

They registered a case and arrested the accused the next day. The police took custody of them for further investigation while continuing efforts to nab another accused Shabsheer, who is absconding after the murder.

During the investigation, police found that there was some rift between accused Syed Muneer and Saleemullah, which led to latter’s murder.
