Bengaluru: Nearly 16 days after the murder of an auto driver near ITI Gate in K.R. Puram, the police have made headway and arrested three people.
The police arrested the accused from Hoskote, where there were said to be hiding after murdering Ramesh, alias Dumma Ramesh.
The accused have been identified as Srinivas alias Seena (19), Harish alias Kariya (19) and Rudresh alias Battery (21), all residents of Devasandra in K.R. Puram.
On the night of April 9, Ramesh, a resident of Magadi Road, slept in his auto near ITI Gate, after visiting his mother’s place in K.R. Puram. Though he was told to leave by the police on patrol, Ramesh chose to sleep in the same place.
“After asking him to leave, we continued with the patrolling. When we returned to the same place few hours later, we found the auto parked in the same place. When we checked, we found Ramesh lying dead inside the vehicle,” the police said.
The police said the accused have confessed to killing Ramesh over money issues. They also alleged that Ramesh had misbehaved with Srinivas’s mother.
