Hyderabad: North Zone police has arrested an entire family, including siblings and a brother-in-law, where the men burgled houses and committed other offences, the women helped them conceal the stash and sell the same. 

The 12 persons, who were involved in as many as 34 cases, were arrested on Tuesday and Rs 7.16 lakh cash, 5kg gold ornaments, 12.5kg silver, electronics gadgets and four stolen bikes were recovered from them.

Police also sealed a one-bedroom flat in Neredmet, registered in the name of Ashiya Begum, which was brought with stolen property. 

While committing thefts, they would look for CCTV cameras and destroy the recorders to avoid detection.  

The arrests were made after two members of the family were arrested on Monday while riding a stolen bike and confessed the entire crime.
