Prathap Reddy and Suresh alias Francis wore burqas and rode a scooter and reached the fitness centre where Srinivasa Reddy comes every morning. When he came out from the fitness centre and started his bullet vehicle, Koneru Venkata Subbaiah drove his scooter in and waylaid him. Prathap Reddy and Fransis attacked him with hunting sickles and sharp knives. Srinivasa Reddy collapsed on the spot. Soon after the attack, the duo along with another accused Haribabau fled from the spot.
