Woman kills alcoholic husband in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A woman allegedly killed her alcoholic husband as she was unable to bear his harassment. Police said M. Yadamma, 45, hit Sanjeeva on the forehead with a a pestle.

Police said Yadamma was a sanitary worker in the Qutbullapur circle and her husband was a daily wage earner. He had been harassing Yadamma for several years. On Thursday, Sanjeeva’s nephew Naresh noticed him lying unconscious near a wine shop in Somaiahnagar and dropped him at his home. Sanjeeva woke up later and began quarrelling, after which she attacked him.
