Hyderabad: Police arrests notorious criminal and his aide
He was last released from prison in January.
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested a notorious known criminal in Rajendranagar on Saturday who committed 11 thefts in the last six months.
Police said Mohammed Ghouse Pasha alias Khooni Ghouse was sent away to Mumbai on Jamaat (a tour of mosques for reformation of the individual concerned) after his release from prison. But he came back and started thefts again. He spent the money earned from thefts on call girls in Mumbai. Police also arrested his associate and recovered valuables worth Rs 4 lakh.
Ghouse started his criminal career after stopping schooling in Class VII. He started working as a labourer, got addicted to bad habits and started thefts to fund them. He was arrested for the first time in 2011 in a theft case in Rajendranagar where he broke into a house and stole cash and jewellery.
Ghouse was sent to an observation home. He was convicted and sentenced to simple imprisonment of five months. After coming out, he started thefts again.
Police said Ghouse stole Rs 4.5 lakh in Langar Houz and was jailed. After release, he committed thefts again in Kalapathar and Bahadurpura and was jailed again. He was last released from prison in January 2017.
“After his release on bail, community elders sent him on a Jamaat to Mumbai, but there he started visiting call girls,” Rajendranagar ACP K. Gangareddy said. In the last six months, he committed 10 thefts in Rajendranagar and one in Langar Houz.
One Kummari Krishna, a realtor helped Ghouse in stealing a bike. Police arrested the duo on Saturday. Both were remanded to custody.
