Bengaluru: 2 arrested for killing friend

The accused crushed Santosh to death when a fight turned ugly. Third accused is still absconding.

The Koramangala police have arrested two people, including a fake journalist, on charges of drug peddling and seized one kg of charas worth Rs 3 lakh from the accused.

BENGALURU: A day after a 42-year-old man was brutally murdered by his friends by crushing his head with a stone near Bilekahalli on Bannerghatta Main Road, the Puttenahalli police arrested two of the accused, while another is still missing.

The arrested have been identified as Arun Kumar (20) and Vidya Bala (21), who were mostly unemployed and worked as painters. The police said that the two, along with the missing accused, were partying with their deceased friend Santosh on Friday night on Bannerghatta Main Road. 

All of them, including Santosh, were heavily drunk when a scuffle broke out between Santosh and his three friends. In the heat of the argument, Arun and Bala, along with their other friend, crushed Santosh's head with a stone, killing him on the spot. The police are searching for the missing accused.
