Hyderabad: Two arrested over job fraud
Police identified the suspects as Marapalli Kumar and Ponaplli Sharath Chandra and recovered a car and mobiles from their possession.
Hyderabad: Special Operations Team sleuths of Rachakonda busted a racket where the suspects cheated people by promising them jobs in State Secretariat and other departments and arrested two persons. Police identified the suspects as Marapalli Kumar and Ponaplli Sharath Chandra and recovered a car and mobiles from their possession.
Police said that Kumar alias Raam hails from Mancherial collected money from the victims by introducing himself as a BC Welfare Hostel contractor. He had invested the stolen amount of Rs 17 lakh in mess tenders in BC welfare hostels.
“As the bills were pending, he hatched a plan to cheat unemployed youth with an offer to provide them jobs without interview in BC welfare hostels and CM camp office and Secretariat. He collected upto Rs 2 lakh from each candidate. When they demanded the offer, he would settle the issue with the help of mediators and repaid the candidates their amounts,” said the officials. They were handed over to LB Nagar police for further inquiry.
