The Dabeerpura police caught three persons for gambling on Thursday and recovered Rs 4,000 from them.
Hyderabad: The Mirchowk police division will give nazrana (gift) to persons passing information about gambling in the neighbourhood.

Mr B. Anand, ACP Mirchowk, said that they are gathering information about gambling activities. “We urge citizens to come forward and report the illegal activities in the area. Their identity would be kept secret and they will be suitable rewarded.” “Our teams are identifying the groups who are organising gambling. But the public co-operation is necessary,” he said.
The Deccan Chronicle had carried a report highlighting how pan shops are selling playing cards in the Old City.
The DC listed the areas, including Bhavaninagar, Dabeerpura and other places in the city, where playing cards are being sold at pan shops. In several graveyards one can find cards and empty bottles.
