Mounting debts force farmer to commit suicide
Based on a complaint given by Anjaneyulu's wife Sirisha, the police filed a case and an investigation is on.

Hyderabad: A farmer committed suicide on Monday night by consuming poison as he was unable to clear his debts.
According to the police, the victim, Nampally Anjaneyulu, 25, is a farmer who has one and half acre agricultural land.
“He borrowed Rs 3 lakh to drill his borewell and unfortunately, it didn’t work out. He then took three acre land on lease and started farming. Deficit monsoon, damaged the crop and forced him to borrow Rs 2 lakh afresh, with which he purchased two autos. He ended up borrowing approximately Rs 5 lakh and could not pay the rising interest rates,” said the police.
