Cybercrime serves notices to Congress leader Sunil Kanugolu
The notice directed Kanugolu to appear in person and provide an explanation to the cybercrime cell by December 30
Hyderabad: The cybercrime police served notice to Sunil Kanugolu of the Congress for creating videos with morphed images of public representatives and politicians.
With Kanugolu currently absconding, the notice was handed over to senior Congress leader Mallu Ravi at Kanugolu’s Mindshare United Foundation office in Gachibowli, the police said.
The notice directed Kanugolu to appear in person and provide an explanation to the cybercrime cell by December 30.
On December 13, the police raided the Gachibowli office, seized laptops and mobile phones, and issued notices to three employees — Sri Pratap Manda, Ishan Sharma and Shashank Thatineni — who allegedly posted the videos on social media platforms under the handle of ‘Telangana Galam’.
Cases in this regard were filed at Market, Ramgopalpet, Chandrayangutta and Amberpet police stations.
