Nellore: A mother committed suicide along with her 19-year-old daughter unable to digest the unethical behaviour of her son at Dasarlapalli village in V. Kota mandal of Chittoor district on Friday. The son in question was caught and beaten up by neighbours when they found him picturising visuals of a woman taking bath in his mobile phone. The deceased have been identified as Anasuyamma, 40, and her daughter Suneeta, 19, of Dasarlapalli village.

According to police, Anasuyamma was taking care of the family by working as farm hand after the death of her husband Adeppa five years back. Contrary to the expectations of Anasuyamma that her son Santosh, 16, will take care of the family in future, he stopped going to school while studying Class X and he became a worthless. Villagers left him with warnings when he was caught stealing valuables two times in the past.

In this backdrop, neighbours found him secretly picturising the visuals of a woman next door taking bath two days back and roughed him up. Based on a complaint of the woman, elders of the village summoned Anasuyamma and her children and admonished them. Unable to bear the humiliation, Anasuyamma, Suneeta and Santosh committed suicide by hanging.  But Santosh survived after the rope he used to hang snapped. SI Rajasekhar registered a case and sent the bodies for postmortem.
