Hyderabad: 2 caught for cheating job seekers, Rs 1 lakh seized

The police caught two persons on Saturday who duped people by promising them government jobs.

HYDERABAD: The police caught two persons on Saturday who duped people by promising them government jobs. Fake appointment letters and cash worth Rs 1.15 lakh were seized from them. 

The gang forged signatures of senior IAS official Rajeshwar Tiwari and deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin and issued fake appoin-tment letters, the police said. 
Acting on a tip-off, the commissioner’s task force caught Rasa Rajashekar, 29, and Rasa Ramakanth, 25. 

The duo collected money between  Rs 15,000 and Rs 50,000 from several persons by promising jobs in government departments. They conducted mock interviews during lunch hours at GHMC office at Khairtabad and handed over fake appointment letters.“The duo forged the signatures of the deputy mayor. They also put the seal and signatures of other officials,” said Mr P. Radhakishan Rao, DCP, Task Force.
