Hyderabad: Linesman in ACB trap for taking bribe

The accused demanded and accepted the bribe amount from the complainant for fixing a electricity meter at Kuntloor village.

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials from North Andhra region arrested two officials on Tuesday for demanding and accepting bribes for doing officials favours.

Hyderabad: A linesman of TSSPCL B. Venkatesh  was trapped by the sleuths of Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting bribe of Rs 3,000 for an official favour. The accused is working at the Peddamberpet section of TSSPDCL in Ranga Reddy district. He was caught at Nagaracyathi ward office in Hayathnagar.

The accused demanded and accepted the bribe amount  from the complainant for fixing a electricity meter at Kuntloor village. He was arrested and brought before the Hyderabad ACB court. 

In case of demand of bribe by an employee, the public must contact the ACB at the toll-free number 1064 for taking action.
