Hyderabad: Troubled by financial problems, a 32-year-old software professional committed suicide in Uppal. His body was discovered by his wife and neighbours when they broke into the bedroom and found him hanging. Police suspect that he had committed suicide two days earlier.
Ganesh Mandava, his wife Anuradha and their seven-month old baby had shifted to Hyderabad from Bengaluru around five months ago and were staying in a rented flat in Adarshanagar. Ganesh worked for Genpact, while his wife, who used to work for a software firm in Bengaluru, had resigned to look after the child. The family had gone to Bengaluru to attend Anuradha’s sister’s wedding. Ganesh started for Hyderabad a week later.
A few days later he went missing and his phone was off. Four days back he went to his flat. Since Monday, his wife had been calling him but there was no response. Anuradha called the flat owner. The owner came on Tuesday and knocked but there was no response. When he informed Anuradha, she flew to Hyderabad.
When there was no response she called neighbours and broke open the door. They found him hanging on a bedsheet.
