New Delhi: Delhi Police cracked the murder case of a government  school teacher at Nangloi within 12 hours. The police said they have  arrested the two Class XII students — one of them being a minor — who were accused of stabbing their 50-year-old school teacher to death, after he refused to allow them to sit for the semester exam. Sources said that the police are likely to consider treating the juvenile as an adult for committing such a brutal crime.

“On Monday evening, an 18-year-old boy Vivek Kumar Jha and his 17-year-old classmate, students at Government Senior Secondary Boys school at Kirari Mod, had allegedly stabbed their class teacher, Mukesh Kumar, after he didn’t allow them to to sit for the semester examination over low attendance,” said a senior police official.

“This is not the first time that the accused 17-year-old was rusticated. Earlier in May this year, he was rusticated on the grounds of missing classes and  misbehaving in the class,” police added.
