Hyderabad: 8 year old sodomised by principal
For the last two weeks, the boy was reluctant to go to the school despite his parents trying to persuade him.
HYDERABAD: An eight-year-old boy studying at St Adams High School was reportedly sodomised by the school principal. The Rajendranagar police has registered a case against the principal and sent the boy for medical examination.
The boy, who is studying in Class II at the school located in Golden Heights Colony, is a resident of Rajendranagar. For the last two weeks, the boy was reluctant to go to the school despite his parents trying to persuade him.
“He (boy) was also suffering from repeated vomiting and was bleeding from the rectum. He was unable to sleep due to the pain. After continuous questioning, he said that the principal gave him a biscuit and took him to the sleeping room where he abused him,” said the boy’s mother in her complaint to the Rajendranagar police.
She said, “After my son told this I took him to a doctor who confirmed about the sexual assault. I request the police to take necessary action against the accused.” A group of people entered the school premises and created a ruckus. They also beat up the school principal and handed him over to the police. Rajendranagar inspector G. Suresh said that the principal has been booked under Sections 377 (unnatural sex) and also under relevant sections of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
“The boy has been sent for medical examination and then to the Viswas Support Centre, for counselling. The counsellors will record his statement and based on both the reports, further action will be taken,” said Inspector Suresh. The inspector said that the school was under electronic surveillance. The corridors, principal room, and even the classrooms were equipped with the CCTV cameras. The footage of the cameras will be collected and analysed for the probe, he said.
