The cops said they had intensified the search for the duo and collected their call detail record (CDR) of the accused.
Kochi: The medical doctor and woman accused of torturing a 10-year old kid are still absconding five days after the police registered a case against them.
The cops said they had intensified the search for the duo and collected their call detail record (CDR) of the accused.
"A detailed examination is currently going on to trace them," said a police officer with the Thrikkakkara station.
Police said they visited no relative or friends during this period while their cell phones remained switched off since Sunday.
The assault came to light when the boy took shelter at the neighbour's house on Sunday, who alerted the Childline on Monday morning and they alerted the police.
The kid, a fifth standard student, had not been attending classes for the past several days and was forced to remain in the house.
The police booked the accused, identified as Adarsh Radhakrishnan and his woman friend, under sections 323, 324 of Indian Penal Code, and relevant sections of the the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Juvenile Jusice Act.
