Kumar and Kumar Bhavani said that the commission had previously directed Sachdev (CC No. 51/2014 dated July 24, 2017) to pay them Rs 12,43,487 with 12 per cent per annum interest in case of delay, Rs 50,000 compensation and costs of Rs 5,000 for having collected money but failing to deliver a flat as agreed upon.

However, Sachdev neither paid the amount nor challenged the findings. Kumar and Bhavani then filed a petition before the commission stating that they had not received the refund or the compensation.
