Woman found dead in parked car
A 40-year-old homeless woman was found dead in a parked car in Tarnaka.
Hyderabad: A 40-year-old homeless woman was found dead in a parked car in Tarnaka. Police said the woman who used to beg in the surroundings was found sitting in the front left seat of the car. The owners who detected a foul smell coming from the car found the body. Police said the woman used to move around on Street No: 1 in Tarnaka. She used to beg for food from houses and slept on footpaths. Often, she used to enter cars which were not locked and sleep in them. Nearly four days ago, the residents spotted her moving in the lane and sleeping on the footpath.
On Saturday morning the owner of an unused Maruti 800 noticed foul smell coming from the car. “When they went to check they found the body of the woman lying on the front left seat of the car. The body was decomposed,” sub inspector S. Ashok of the Osmania University police station said. Police found that the car, a 1998 model, was being used by Mr Satyanrayana till recently. After he became ill he stopped using the car, leaving it in an open area near their house. As it was not being used since many months the car was not maintained and was never kept locked. Based on a complaint from the vehicle’s owner a suspicious death case has been registered and the body was sent for
autopsy.
