Hyderabad: Stalker suspect in woman's murder

The accused in Gudivada murder case, have been handed over to the AP police in in Chennai, according to sources.

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old private employee was brutally murdered by unknown assailants on Monday afternoon in Yousufguda. According to the police, Venkata Laxmi, a worker at a bangle shop, had previously complained to her employer about a man harassing her.

She joined Jodi Bangle store about two months ago. Her family moved to Hyderabad from Ravulapally about 10 years ago. Three men entered the shop, picked up an argument and slit her throat before fleeing the place, leaving no clues behind, said the Jubilee Hills police, who are accessing the hard disk recording of the CCTV tape in the shop.

Laxmi had reportedly informed her employer, who was not present at the shop at the time of murder, that a man was harassing her. “There was no sign of robbery and nothing was reported missing. We suspect that the assailants knew her,” said the DCP, West Zone, A.R. Srinivas, adding that clues team are gathering evidence from the place and the owner of the place will be called for questioning. Based on a complaint, a case was booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC and a probe was ordered.
