Hyderabad: Contractor booked for death of man by electrocution
There is an electrical cable line (of TSSPDCL), which was probably damaged due to the work leading to the victim being electrocuted.
Hyderabad: The city Sewerage Board has booked a criminal case against contractor M/s GSK-VISHWA (JV) for taking up works without prior permission from the concerned department or the GHMC or TSSPDCL, which had led to the death of a man on June 27.
Officials, along with the Hyderabad mayor, visited the site opposite Kasani Grand Hotel near Saipriya Medical Hall on Tuesday where a person had fallen in a water-filled ditch and subsequently died.
The contractor who had taken up the work had not taken prior permission from the concerned department or from GHMC, TSSPDCL for which a criminal case has been booked, water works officials informed the mayor.
The city Sewerage Board is laying a 500mm trunk line from Ayyappa Society main road to Durgam Cheruvu STP. The contractor has diverted the existing sewerage line by excavating a kuchcha drain.

Locals had managed to bring the man out of the ditch but he had received a shock and was declared brought dead at the hospital.
