Bengaluru: Crane operator misses footing, falls 60 feet to his death
According to police, Shankar stepped out of the crane and slipped from the stairs to directly land on the ground.

Bengaluru: A 47-year-old crane operator, attached to Indian Railways, fell to his death from a height of around 60 feet while on duty on Tuesday noon.
The deceased, Ravi Shankar, a resident of Mathikere, was operating a crane at Indian Railway’s Wheel and Axle plant at Yelahanka when the incident happened.
According to police, Shankar stepped out of the crane and slipped from the stairs to directly land on the ground.
Police said Shankar died on the spot due to severe head injuries. Yelahanka police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem.
The incident happened at around 4 pm and a case has been registered at the Yelahanka police station in this regard.
