Bike collides with parked truck: Two riders dead

According to the police the duo failed to notice the parked mini truck, as there was no reflector parking sign warning other motorists.

The Nelamangala traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the mini truck driver and seized the vehicle.

Bengaluru: Three people, including a 32-year-old software professional, died in separate road accidents in the city since Monday in Nelmangala and Hulimavu traffic police station limits.

In the first incident, two people died on the spot when their bike collided with a parked mini truck near Doderi in Nelamangala on Tuesday.

The deceased Arun Kumar, (32) and Harish Babu, (31) resident of Yettaganahalli were coming to Bengaluru to work. They were working in a private firm in Peenya and used to commute to work on motorcycle.

According to the police the duo failed to notice the parked mini truck, as there was no reflector parking sign warning other motorists, on the highway and the bike rider failed to control his vehicle.

The Nelamangala traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the mini truck driver and seized the vehicle. The driver escaped soon after the accident.

In a hit-and-run case, a 32-year-old man died on the spot after his bike was knocked down by a mini lorry near Kudlu Gate on Monday night.

The accident took place when a speeding lorry knocked down his motorcycle and ran over him near Kudlu Gate in Hulimavu on Monday night. The lorry driver sped away.Hulimavu police have registered a case of hit and run and are on the lookout of the lorry driver and the vehicle.
