Hyderabad: A man used the credentials of his previous employer, a software company, to book flight tickets worth Rs 98,000. Based on the complaint of Sunera Technologies manager Srinvasa Shamala, the Rachakonda cyber crime police arrested Prem Krishna Bhagathi, 26.
On September 27, Mr Shamala complained to the Rachakonda cyber crime police stating that someone has misappropriated the details of their American Express credit card and used about $1,285.61 (Rs 98,335), and requested action.
During the probe, the police officials found that Bhagathi, the ex-employee, had misused the credentials for his personal use.
Cyber crime police said that Bhagathi joined the company as a travel desk executive on July 10, 2018, but was terminated after 15 days for his non-performance and negligence issues.
“After being terminated from the job, Bhagathi bore the grudge and fraudulently utilised the company’s Amex credit card details and PIN to book flight tickets from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Mumbai. The total loss caused is about Rs 98,335. He was apprehended at SR Nagar and produced before a court for judicial remand,” police said.
