Three held for beating up Hindu youth on ride with Muslim girl
Three persons, who were standing by, came forward and manhandled the youth on the bike and scolded the girl
Hyderabad: Police arrested three persons on Tuesday, Muslims all, on a charge of beating up a youth who was travelling along with a Muslim girl in burqa on Sunday.
This incident took place at Nampally. The three were Shaik Ahmed, Ali Abbas and Rasheed. Police identified them with the help of CCTV footage, while one person was absconding.
According to the Nampally station house officer Md Khaleel Pasha, Naveen along with his Muslim friend was traveling by a bike around 2 pm in Vijayanagar Colony. A person stopped them at Bazaar Ghat signal, and shouted, “This man from another religion is moving along with our girl.”
He also shouted at the girl, “How shameless are you that you are moving around with other community guys?”

In another incident on Friday last, a court sent 32-year-old Md Rafi to remand in connection with a similar incident at Tolichowki. A Hindu youth and a Muslim girl were travelling on a bike.
Md Rafi stopped them and questioned them as to how a Hindu boy can take a Muslim girl on his bike. Police arrested the accused and presented him in the court.
Golconda station house officer K. Chandrasheker Reddy said, “We are searching for the remaining accused in this case.” He warned others against indulging in such attacts, “Police will trace out anyone involved in such incidents, and the consequences will be dire,” he said.
