Noise pollution: Nandyal police confiscate, crush silencers using a road roller
Police counselled the two-wheeler owners and warned them of criminal cases in case they repeated the offence in the future

KURNOOL: Nandyal police on Thursday confiscated 59 two-wheelers that had silencers causing too much noise.
Police dismantled all these silencers and crushed them using a road roller at the Government Arts College Ground in Nandyal.
Nandyal town DSP C. Maheswara Reddy said nearly 70 per cent of such bike owners are B. Tech graduates working in various private sector companies. In addition to destroying the silencers, police fined them Rs 2,000 each for creating sound pollution.
