Hyderabad: Charred body of woman found
The body was identified on basis of a mobile phone recovered from the spot.
HYDERABAD: The charred body of a 24-year-old woman was found abandoned in Medak town on Thursday. Based on the mobile phone and other clues near the body, police identified the deceased as M Hemalatha, a resident of Medak town. Medak SP Chandana Deepthi who visited the scene of offence said that Hemalatha was killed after which her body was set on fire and dumped at the spot.
"She had recently left for her maternal home, after a quarrel with her husband Satish. All angles are being probed and the suspects will be nabbed very soon", she said.
Hemalatha was married to Satish in 2013 and they had a child.
Months after getting married, they got separated from Satish's parents and were living separately. After the recent quarrel with her husband, she left her son with her in-laws and went to her maternal home.
Hemalatha had earlier approached Medak police station complaining against her in-laws by stating that they had deliberately concealed Satish's ill-health before the marriage and had cheated her. She had also lodged a complaint against her in-laws and husband at Begumpet police station.
On Thursday morning, she was found dead. Police booked a murder case and have questioned her parents, husband and in laws about her movements in the recent past. The case is under investigation.
