Telangana: 13-year-old girl takes life over test marks
The girl was depressed as she had scored less marks in her tests since she was not able to attempt all the questions.
Hyderabad: A girl studying in class IX, committed suicide by hanging at her residence, under the West Marredpally police station limits. According to the police inspector Uma Maheshwar Rao of Marredpally, “The girl was depressed as she had scored less marks in her tests since she was not able to attempt all the questions.”
The deceased was identified as Mani Mehal, a 13-year-old class IX student of St. Patrick School and resident of Krishnapuri Colony, West Marredpally. “On Friday, she hanged herself at her residence,” added the police inspector.
Based on a complaint received from her paternal uncle, Naveen Kumar, Marredpally Police booked a case under section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC (code of criminal conduct) and investigations have been initiated.
