Police announce cash reward for info about Sreedhar Rao

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police announced a cash reward to those who provide information on the whereabouts of the absconding accused in multi-crore cheating cases Saranala Sreedhar Rao on Monday. Officials said that the identity of the person would be kept confidential.
The Sanathnagar police of Cyberabad commissionerate booked cases under sections 377 (sexual act against the order of nature), 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC against Rao earlier this month following a complaint from a masseur.
The officials on Monday announced that an appropriate cash reward would be given to those who give information about Sreedhar Rao and that the police would keep their details confidential. Those with information on the accused can contact the inspector of police, Sanathnagar, Cyberabad, on phone number 040-27852968 and cell number 9490617132.
“Sreedhar Rao, 46, a resident of Nandagiri Hills in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad, was booked for alleged sodomy by the Sanathnagar police and has been evading arrest and absconding since then. His whereabouts are also not known.
Meanwhile, the Narsingi, Raidurgam, Gachibowli and other police stations in the city booked cheating cases against him. The police officials who went to his house to serve 41 Cr PC notices found that his house was locked and he vacated the place along with his family. The notices were pasted on his doors upon his absence,” officials from the Cyberabad police revealed.
