Girl drowns in tank, dies

Kurnool: A 7-year-old girl named G. Krishnaveni from Jaggapuram village in Nandavaram mandal drowned in a water tank on Wednesday.
Krishnaveni, the daughter of Mareppa and Ratnamma, had gone to the tank to fetch water. While attempting to draw water using a rope, she slipped and fell into the tank.

Despite efforts to rescue her, Krishnaveni did not survive. Nandavaram police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
