Tamil Nadu: Never committed two murders, says Dhashwant
I am being framed, accused tells media outside court: Dhashwant.
Chennai: Drama ensued on Chengalpet court premises on Friday after Dhashwanth, arrested for the rape and murder of a seven-year-old child and very recently in the alleged killing of his mother, told mediapersons that he never committed the murders.
He was brought to the Chengalpet court in connection with two cases on Friday amidst heavy police protection. Before he was taken to the magistrate chambers, he waved at the media on the premises and said, “I never murdered the child nor my mother. It is all police foul play and I am being framed,” he said.
When a section of the media questioned him as to why he fled to Mumbai after his mother’s murder and attempted to escape from the police there, he chose to remain silent and went into the court.
He was first produced before the judicial magistrate in connection with an FIR against him that he threatened the child’s father, CDS Babu when he met him at court in October. Later, he was taken to the Chengelpet Mahila court for trial in the child murder case.
On December 13, he was treated to mob justice when he was brought to the Chengalpet Mahila court. Scores of women who were waiting in the court premises started abusing him and hurled slippers at Dhashwanth despite heavy police protection.
Dhashwanth was recently arrested in Mumbai on December 6 in Mumbai for the alleged murder of his mother a week ago. While he managed to flee police custody, he was nabbed again on December 8. He was first arrested in February this year for the alleged rape and murder the girl and granted bail in September.
