Hyderabad: BTech stalker slits girl's throat

The accused proposed to the victim but she rejected his advances and he held a grudge against her.

Hyderabad: A BTech student slit the throat of a class 10 student with the knife that he brought with him for rejecting his advances in IDA Bollaram on Thursday. She died while she was being taken to hospital.

According to police, the accused, Aravind, 20, was harassing Nikitha, 18, for the past few months. The accused proposed to the victim but she rejected his advances and he held a grudge against her. On Thursday, the girl’s parents, who work as labourers in a company in IDA Bollarum, went for work and the victim was alone in her house.  Satish, inspector, IDA Bollarum said, “The accused entered the house of the victim and an argument broke out between them. In a fit of rage he slit her throat with a knife that he had brought with him.”

Hearing the screams of the teenager, locals rushed to her house and saw the victim who was bleeding and shifted her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.  They nabbed the accused and handed him over to the police.

The police have registered the case under Section 304(a) and further investigation is underway.
