Hyderabad: Techie killed in friend’s house
The police suspects the role of his friend-cum-business partner Hemanth in whose residence the body was found.
Hyderabad: Two people, including a software developer, were killed in separate incidents within 24 hours on Friday.
In the first incident, 35-year-old software developer M. Satish Babu, who had gone missing, was found murdered in his friend’s house under the KPHB police station limits on Friday. The police suspects the role of his friend-cum-business partner Hemanth in whose residence the body was found.
According to a KBHP police officer, they received a complaint from Satish’s wife M. Prasanthi that her husband was missing from his office at Phase 7 KPHB on Tuesday. She suspected foul play involving Hemanth.
Tracking this lead, a police team landed in front of Hemanth’s rented house in KPHB. The team found it locked and foul smell was emanating from the house. When they saw inside the house, they found the body of Satish covered with black plastic and blood stains in the hall.
Police broke open the front door and called the Clues teams and dog squad which scouted the place and collected technical evidence. Prima facie investigators found that it was murder.
KPHB inspector S. Laxmi Narayana said, “There were stab injuries all over his body. The throat was slit and stab injuries were found on the stomach, legs and other parts of the body.” After committing the murder the suspect locked the door from outside and escaped, he said.
The investigators altered the case from one of person missing to one of murder and efforts are on to nab Hemanth. Police shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy and later handed it over to the family.
In the second incident, a 50-year-old man was bludgeoned to death with a boulder in Singareni Colony under Saidabad police station limits late on Friday night. Saidabad police booked a case and has taken up investigations.
