Hyderabad Man Gets Lifer For Killing Parents
Hyderabad: Md Rasheed Pasha, who was accused of killing his parents at Chandanagar in the year 2014, was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment by the VI Additional District Court for Rangareddy at Kukatpally. The court also imposed a Rs 3,000 fine on him in the verdict delivered on Wednesday.
Pasha, who was then a construction worker, killed his parents Sadiq Miya and Ashabee, by hitting them with a hammer used in construction work, killing them both on the spot. Police who had arrested him later, found that he was angry with his parents due to delay in him getting a girl for marriage and also not writing their family property on his name. Nursing a grudge over these issues, he killed his parents at their rented home in Chandanagar.
Pasha got bail, but as he jumped bail, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him. Police traced him in Vikarabad district to serve the warrant, but he tried to escape. Police had then chased him and executed the warrant and sent him to judicial remand. He however managed to secure bail again.
During the trial, the court examined the circumstantial witnesses produced by the prosecution and other evidence. Further, the witnesses for his confession also deposed before the court. Based on the evidence and its examination, the court pronounced him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
